It'd be interesting to see what would provoke Waverider into action...
I don't know much about his offensive firepower, but I know he respects Superman as a powerful being.

Waverider (and the linear men) exist outside of regular time, at vanishing point (the last few nano seconds before the big crunch (end of the universe)). His mission is to protect the timeline, as the linear men still believe that DC has only one timeline, and ony rip hunter is the only linear man who is aware of DC elseworlds.
