Ok imagine Avengers Disassembled never happened, but you have to make it happen. So who is the master planner behind it all? Who gets killed off and who plays a key role in the storyline?
E.g
If I did disassembled, Doom would be the bad guy. He hires several villains to attack the mansion. He hires....Bullseye, Sabretooth, Mystique and a few other non-avengers villains for the job. The whole story is from Caps p.o.v.
These are the characters who die.
Antman- Gets squashed/stepped on.
Wasp- Gets Stabbed
Giant Man- Gets blown up when the mansion is invaded.
Black night-Gets impaled by Bullseye on his on sword (Like Elektra style)
Quicksilver-Is tricked into running into a warehouse full of explosives.
The surviving members eventually defeat the evil team but Doom denies any involvement. The shock of so many deaths seperates the team.
Oh and there is a superb fight scene between Cap and Bullseye which ends with Cap barely winning by throwing Bullseye out a glass window and onto the Avengers lawn......
Doom gets all the good stories... give this one to the Trapster... let him earn some respect... if he can trick Spider-Man into a trap with his senses he can do the same to almost any Avenger
Oh and also in my Disassembled, Sabretooth fights the Black Panther! Sabes was winning until the avengers mansion explodes and they are both knocked out. Cap and Bullseye both avoid the blast and continue their fight....
In my disassembled wasp is killed by mystique disguised as Hank. She huggs him pulls away saying she feels funny. there is a knife her back. Mystique laughs over wasps body. Hank comes rushing in and steps on a mine mystique left.
Id make it be an invasion by the Shi'Ar Imperial Guard. I'd make the Imperial Guard believe that the Avengers were the ones who killed their Majestrix, Princess Lilandra and now they will stop at nothing to kill them all.
The ones who would die:
Hawkeye: would die by being incinerated by Starbolt.
Wasp: would be crushed by Titan.
Photon: in a battle against Tempest and Manta, she would try to absorb their energy, but they would overload her, making her explode.
Vision: would be destroyed in Photon's explosion.
Quasar: would be severely hurt in Photon's explosion, but would still go on fighting Nightside, bu would eventually be overcome.
Scarlet Witch: would be killed by the combined efforts of Smasher, Fang, and Earthquake.
Houw they would kill each of their enemies:
Starbolt: Gladiator would eye-beam Vision, but Viz would become intangible, letting the beam pass threw him and hit and kill Starbolt.
Titan: after killing Wasp, Giant Man would become pissed off and beat Titan to death.
Tempest + Manta: would both be destroyed in Photon's explosion.
Nightside: would be destroyed in one huge blast by the combined efforts of Iron Man and Jack of Hearts.
Electron: would be extremely hurt in Photon's explosion, and eventually fall at the hands of Hercules.
Fang, Earthquake, + Smasher: after seeing Wanda be killed by these 3, Wonder Man goes crazy, flies head-first deep into the ground. 10 seconds later, the ground rumbles, and Wonder Man flies up with a huge chunk of the earth in his hands and smashes it on these 3.
Gladiator: Gladiator, the last of the Imperial Guardsmen, stands tall, and knocks out every one of the Avengers until there are only 3 left. Wonder Man, Hercules, and Thor, who has been stalemating him this whole time but cant hold him off any longer. So Gladiator kills Thor, and then makes a remark about Wanda. Seeing Thor die, Hercules gets pissed off beyond belief, as does Wonder Man because of that stupid remark, and then Wonder Man and Hercules together pummel Gladiator to within an inch of his life, so he's on the ground in a pool of his own blood, barely conscious. Then, WM and Herc go and lift up the remains of the mansion and dump it on him.
the Skrulls disguised themselves as the Avengers when they killed Lilandra which is why the Guard thought the avengers did it. Also, i didnt put Cap in the story cuz i think he's a waste of a good opportunity for a character. (i never liked Cap, nor will i ever.)
Thin Man uses the resources of a rebuilt Kalahia to attack the Avengers to strike at Captain America specifically. A few members die, blah blah, Thin Man is defeated, but Dr. Strange senses within the Thin Man a demonic possession. Someone in the hellish nether realms has overthrown Mephisto, Black Heart, Hellstorm, etc. and taken control. He used Thin Man as a conduit to attack the heroes that once gave his forebears trouble, the Avengers and heroes that died have been turned into his own zombified demonic task force. Eventually the demon is defeated, the fallen friends return to life, but after so much destruction and mayhem several of them declare a hiatus on their heroic careers, while those that would plod along with the team are forced to disband by the government--the Avengers name has been so sullied that no one trusts any of the former members.
Captain America gives up his title and becomes a freelance SHIELD operative.
Thor and Hercules bid farewell to the mortal world for awhile.
Stark gives up the Iron Man gig, but keeps financing and building armors for others and is joined by the Pyms.
Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch disappear to Genosha
Hawkeye goes SHIELD
Falcon goes SHIELD
Various others retire
That wouldn't be permanent though, all things are fluid and moving, but it would upset the norm for awhile, with America having such distrust of superhumans other teams like Alpha Flight, Winterguard, Invaders, V-Battalion, Big Hero 6 and a new Excalibur would have to fill the void left by the Avengers.
The others were good. I loved the use of the Shi'Ar. Yours reminds me of the Siege of Avengers Mansion (Helmut Zemo and a team of the Masters of Evil attack and invade Avengers mansion and rip shit up) only the villian, Doom, manages to go a step further and get them to seperate. I'm not sure about Doom as the villian, he certainly has the planning capabilities, but he's so often overused. Good though.
It doesn't really matter who dies in mine, anyone can, because at the end they're back to life--I aimed for a crippling psychological fragmentation of the entire team, partially from them being killed and used as zombie pawns by the Demon to fight and kill their friends and teammates. After the disassemblage, seeing it ripe for the picking, some vast threat comes to Earth, the retired Avengers wonder if they should reassemble and do anything, but instead they watch as Winter Guard and Alpha Flight handle matters with ease, which further plagues the ex-Avengers as they wonder if the world ever really needed them in the first place.
