Just I was watching the films and they appeared very similar....or are they family, laughing out loud

I know this is more film related than the story but can anyone tell me?

You mean did the people that made the movie decide that it would be a good idea to make Gollum a mix of Gandalf and Bilbo...hmm...nope..no..they didn't.
