Who would make the most interesting herald of Galactus?
If Galactus came back to Earth to find a new herald,
which one of these guys would make the most interesting new herald?
Woud Galactus augment their current skills and abilities to cosmic status or would he recreate them altogether?
Possible Good Guys Galactus would select:
Wolverine --(sniffing through the galaxies?)
Human Torch --(a better version of Nova and Firelord?)
Ice Man --(the cosmic opposite of Nova and Firelord?)
Hawkeye --(cosmic aim and upgraded bow/arrow weaponry?)
Daredevil --(The Blind Herald?)
Angel--Angel of Death?
Ghost Rider--Cosmic motorbike?
Feel free to add to the list, but I'm trying to avoid super types like Thor and Hulk who can beat heralds already.
daredevil could be VERY interesting, same with iceman and hawkeye...damn, the herald concept has so much potential. i hope a good writer gets their hands on it so it doesn't become played out in the hands of a sh!t like bendis.
other cool people would be mister fantastic (it would be hi-larious to see mister fantastic stretch across a whole solar system), and some psi...exodus maybe? god cable?

First of all, i think the coolest heralds would be Hercules, Wonder Man, Shazam!, or the Thing.
Secondly, Hulk cannot beat any herald. Thor can only beat a few of the weaker ones like Nova or Terrax. He needed Hercules' help to beat Firelord, and he has stalemated SS many times, but has never beat him.
For DC:
1) Deathstroke( all that skill with the power to back it up now.
2) Superman ( I think it would be cool to see what Big G would do to supes)
For Marvel:
1) juggernaught ( now has the backing of two big baddies)
2) Punisher ( he would make a cool herald)
I think Magneto would make a Supreme Herald, probably the best possible because he already has years of experience manipulating the EM.
Apocalypse also. At least with Apocalypse as a herald Galactus wouldn't have to worry about him feeling sorry for feeding him inhabited planets and turning on him like Surfer did. He might have to worry about Apoc realizing he's been thinking small and trying to take over the Earth when there's a whole universe out there and becoming another Thanos, though.
First of all, i disagree with that Magneto statement. I think Gladiator would be the Supreme herald cuz he already is at herald level so with the Power Cosmic he would be realy great.
Secondly, even if Apocalypse asked Galactus to be his herald i dont think Galactus would give him it cuz i dont think Galactus is that stupid cuz in my opinion if Apocalypse got the power cosmic he may very well be more powerful than Galactus himself.
I don't know if he'd be the most powerful, but Angel as a herald, suggested above, would be pretty cool. Galactus could transform him into a truly celestial being.
People like Daredevil and Hawkeye would make poor heralds, I think. They don't really have a suitable theme which one could upgrade to cosmic proportions. Daredevil would have cosmic senses, be able to survive in space and hop around a lot? Sounds kind of lame. Angel has an exploitable theme, he has wings and biblical themes could be borrowed, he could be given a flaming sword, or renamed and reshaped into "Metatron".
