The Curse of Doom
Just a summary, so you know what it'll be about. Hope ya like it!
Summary: Athena Malfoy had kept herself away from the friendship and laughter of the magical world. After centuries of evil wizards and witches being born in the Malfoy family and being sorted into Slytherin, she was the only one who had gotten into Gryffindor. If her parents were’t concerned about what the wizarding world would have said if it was known that they had disowned their daughter because she had been sorted into Gryffindor, they would not have provided her with food and money. Athena had to endure her brother, Draco, whenever she was at school, and had no friends to support her. Unfortunately, just when Athena had befriended a Gryffindor witch in her year, Ginny Weasley, and was introduced to Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and Harry Potter, an attack broke out in Hogsmeade. She was hit by an unusual curse called ‘The Curse Of Doom’. There was nothing anyone could to help her and even though her newly found friends attempted to save her, they understood that it is up to Athena to get herself out of the curse.

The Curse Of Doom
Chapter 1 : Tough Life To Live
Life as an outcast isn't easy. Athena Malfoy lay across the covers of her bed in the sixth year Gryffindor girl's dormitories. The night sky was peaceful and the open window let a little of the cold air in. It was late November and winter was almost upon them. There were six other beds in the comfortable looking room, with red and gold scarves lying around here and there, hair-care potions and more. There were also a few love potions hidden deeply inside the other girl's trunks. Giggling and laughter originated all around the dormitory.
All of the girls were chatting animatedly sitting on the edges of their beds, dressed in their night attire. All of the girls, excluding one, were enjoying themselves. Athena Malfoy was far away from the other girls and their excited chattering. She lay sprawled across her gold colored bed covering lost in her own thoughts, while attempting to read a book. She sighed wondering when all of this will be over.
She had a sudden flashback to her summer break after her third year at Hogwarts. She and her brother, Draco, were having a row at the Malfoy Mansion. They were both in the lounge, the exquisite walls around them with its dark decorations. Malfoy had again taunted her about being a blood-traitor and the fact that she had no friends.
Athena's cheeks were flushed with an anger and hatred she thought had been long buried when dealing with familial matters, now, it seemed to have broken its way out to the surface as she looked into the arrogant face of her evil brother who was a year older than her.
Draco simply had a smirk planted on his face, causing Athena’s rage to bubble up inside of her. He was amused, impressed, maybe, at the ability his sister possessed to channel such a great amount of anger and hatred towards him. She was merely a toy he used for his enjoyment when he was bored. It was quite fun to watch her seethe and tremble in anger. He neither showed nor felt any fear at all upon looking at her stance, her blazing eyes, her determined face. No Gryffindor, especially Athena would ever be able to outshine him in a duel of the Dark Arts. Except one person who, when taunting he had to make sure his saviors were there, saviors like Snape. He hated Potter with a passion and longed for the day he could watch his master kill the boy wonder.
She felt as though she could explode with the overflowing anger taking place inside of her. Her hand gripped onto her wand inside of the pocket of her black robes, the ones bearing the family crest. She wouldn't do anything to him, though. That would only prove her as one of them. She was a Gryffindor; she was brave, courageous, and loyal. She wouldn't curse someone like her Slytherin sibling. But this was Draco Malfoy, her cold-hearted brother, and, if anyone deserved being hit by a curse, it was him. After all he had put her through, growing up. After all he did to others, she could finally fix the bully problem in the school with one quick swish of her wand and a nicely placed permanent hex. However, the loud shutting of the front door snapped Athena out of her thoughts and alerted her that her parents were home. She gave Draco one last disgusted look before storming out of the room, but she left quietly enough so her parents wouldn't hear her, and she flung herself across the bed in her bedroom.

Quidditch tryouts were to be held soon, and though Athena always found the sport interesting, she would rather that no one knew that she was Draco Malfoy's sister, so she decided not to attend it.
No one apart from Dumbledore and McGonagall had even known her last name. Just before the sorting ceremony her first year, she had taken McGonagall aside and had begged her to give her a different name while attending Hogwarts. She had to beg and feign crying and explain how awful it would be for her if any of the students knew she was a member of the Malfoy family, before McGonagall finally agreed. After ensuring Dumbledore's approval, Athena's new last name was 'Persad'. She scarcely talked to anyone and had no friends. All she had ever looked forward to were the Quidditch matches and Hogsmeade visits. That way she would be able to get away from the castle, Draco, and studies. A Hogsmeade trip was soon to be held, and through her troubles, Athena could not help but be excited.

Athena lay in her bed the night before the Hogsmeade trip, her blankets pulled over her so that she wouldn't feel cold. She was just about to doze away into a peaceful sleep when she heard her name amongst the chatter of the other girls in the dormitory.
"I wonder if that Athena girl will ever make any friends," quipped Miranda.
"I doubt it, she hardly ever talks to anyone!" added Linda.
"I wonder why," stated Cindy.
"Maybe she's shy," reasoned Ginny.
"You know, she seems to resemble someone here, at Hogwarts, but I just can't tell who!" exclaimed a frustrated Linda.
"I think so too," Miranda said.
"Yea, we know what you mean!" agreed all the others.
After a few wild guesses, none of which were correct, the girls settled down and all went to sleep, at least most of the girls. Athena, who had heard the conversation, lay in her bed wide-awake. Deciding not to let it spoil her trip to Hogsmeade, she was soon fast asleep. However, her sleep was not as peaceful as she had hoped.
