Strange, BB, and X is a pretty tough combo... And Namor and Tony make great distractions, while Reed talks one of them to death.
No prep, I'd go for DC, as Marvel's big guns are too fragile to survive 3 Supermannesque characters. Give em 5 seconds of prep and Marvel takes em to school.

Problem there:
DC's Illuminati wouldn't be comprised of those people. It would be the brains of all the operations. Martian Manhunter, Batman, Dr. Fate, and a few others. Superman, Wonder Woman, and Nightwing would be nowhere near that stuff.
Illuminati doesn't mean that someone is technically a great leader. It's more of a coincidence that the Marvel group is. The Illuminati would be a group that is pulling the strings behind the scenesl. Like I said, Batman, Dr. Fate, The Martian Manhunter, and three others. Green Lantern would probably be in there, Aquaman, and maybe Highfather. Those six (aside from Fate) are WAY off.
