Technically, someone like Hal wouldn't be at, say, 50% after a fight. If they crack his defenses, he dies because he's just human without his ring. But if they beat him around, it's just the green energy being affected, not Hal himself....and he can just recreate his shielding and offense for the next fight.

Oh. Meh. Didn't see that Morg was first. So he might win. But I dunno. Surfer would beat him by using his powers to the fullest...an all-out brawl would favor Hal, which is what Morg might try.
