The Hulk at the end of wwh#5 (after Sentry's fight) vs classic JLA

AGdAV: Second, in the last moments, when Hulk released his real fury, causing massive destruction and blowing energy from his body, who could stop it? I meant, what heroes could stop it? Superman, maybe?
Greg Pak: With all due respect to the Distinguished Competition, I don't think even Superman would stand a chance. In the end, only the Hulk himself could provide the opening that Iron Man needed to end the madness.

Just because you say that Hulk is the most powerful character in comic history (VERY silly statement considering other characters, but hey ....maybe once you start writing comics you can retcon Hulk into becoming more powerful than classic Beyonder), and Greg Pak says that he does not THINK that Superman would stand a chance, really doesn't add up to two thimbles of warm spit!
After all, I can post and say that Wolverine is the most powerful character in comic history, and then some DC writer could blog and say that Mr Majestic (now part of the DC family after the acquisition) could take down the Silver Surfer without breaking a sweat.
Again, worth two thimbles of warm spit. It is all subjective speculation.
Anyways, the Hulk is very powerful, and matching up against him in a one or two dimensional fight that is linear in nature, whereby the key means of force progression is physical fighting, would be a mistake for a lot of characters.
However he is by no means unbeatable, and the JLA (classic or modern) has a field of characters that EACH have a very diverse range of powers (to be honest with you, almost every character in the JLA has such a diverse range of powers that if you split those powers up nearly each individual would be able to power a basic X-man team ....e.g. think the Martian Manhunter, who has shapeshifting, invisibility, intangibility and density manipulation, heat vision, other vision powers, high level super strength, high level telepathy, high level superspeed, near immortality since he is able to reform from next to nothing, genius level intellect, and other powers that are said to exist but have not been shown yet. That is like adding up basic X-men, X-factor and X-force ...with a dop of Shiar thrown in for effect).
Hulk is great, but he is not unstoppable. Green Lantern, for example, could really mess him up in so many ways that it would not be humorous.

Cuz of green lantern and his enrgy manip id say that the hulk at the end of WWH would lose but if the GL decided to wait a bit too long to do his thing then alot of JLA members would die. Bats would die basically becuse of the huge uncontrollable enrgy being released by WWH. At the end of WWH hulk was WAY stronger and probabaly more durable( his durability does grow with srength) than any character on the JLA. His step alone nearly destroyed the eastcoast. IF he had actually decided to punch sombody or something it would have bin catastrophic. At that level he could take out almost all the mebers of the league with a punch or two and with the huge amoounts of enrgy being released, ( enrgy that covered the whole of New york), evn getting close to him would be almost impossible. Without a GL i think he could do it but he loses because of GLs enrgy manip

I dont think he would run out just like that after all the enrgy is universal and it would be a large task for a green lantern( he would eventually succeed though).
