Super power take away

Taking one power from each of them, who would suffer the most and what powers would you take away from them?

Superman:
Wolverine:
WWH:
Juggernaut:
Hal Jordan:
Sentry:
Thor:
Hercules:
Wonder Woman:
Martian Manhunter:

Re: Super power take away

Either . . .

Superman: Invulnerability (many of his powers would then kill him)

or

WWH: Strength (he'd just be a very angry tactically minded Banner)

Hal's kind of screwed in this thread. Take the ring and he would be at the biggest disadvantage.

(Unless he's something more than that now. You never know.)

Without Hulk's strength, he'd still be incredibly durable, and have an insane healing factor. Plus his ability to evolve.

Herc at least would have durability and fighting skills without his strength.

Hal probably suffers the most.

And most of the characters that are super strong/durable, I'd take away the durability... can't punch with 100 tons of force if its gonna shatter you as well.

I think Wolverine is the only one here that would die as a result of having his powers are removed. So, Wolvy...

Superman:
Wolverine:
WWH:
Juggernaut:
Hal Jordan:
Sentry:
Thor:
Hercules:
Wonder Woman:
Martian Manhunter:

Let's look at this:

Superman: Someone said that you should take away his invulnerability, and that will seal the deal. Good logic. After all, if he uses his heat vision he will simply burn his cranium, if he uses freeze breath he just turned himself into a dead husk of ice, if he ......whatever ....he dies. Good point, the only issue is people like Cyclops use their powers but are immune to their effects without having overall invulnerability. People like Storm churn out terrific blasts of electricity, but a punch from the Punisher will double her. Anyways, it is still a good point and probably the way to go.
The only problem is even without invulnerability Superman is basically a one-man X-men team.

Wolverine: A relatively easy one ....take out his healing factor. Without it Wolverine cannot face off against 95% of the type of foes he faces off against (he generally relies on his healing factor to soak away death-level damage). Add to that the fact that without his HF he will DIE due to adamantium poisoning.
Wolverine is definitely one person who will be seriously affected by losing one power, in this case his healing factor.

WWH: I could cheat and say his ability to get angry, but that would be a cop out. Thus i will use the next cop out, and simply say his strength. Without his strength he'd still have a major healing factor (maybe he could buy some steel claws to replicate Wolverine's adamantium blades, and moonlight as a Wolverine replacement since Logan now doesn't have a healing factor .....and we all know that Bruce Banner has enough anger and emotional issues to pull off a good Logan). But without his strength the Hulk cannot be able to face off against many of the top-tier threats he faces. Think about it .....WWH without strength? Red Hulk without strength? They'd both be walkign glowing Christmas trees, exuding large amounts of green and red light, and doing nothing else.

Juggernaut: Simply take out the link with Cytorrak, and all you have is a man.

Hal Jordan: As someone said, his ring. He may nto be useless (he is supposed to be an ace combat pilot, so maybe he could still do some damage if the airforce lent him a F-22 Raptor ....but then again, the airforce does not 'lend' out planes .....)

Sentry: A Superman type character ....even if you take away his strength he can still kill you, take away his flight he can still crush you, take away his speed he can still vaporise you. Thus I'd probably try the same approach as Superman and take away his invulnerability, although while it SOUNDS nice I doubt it would really work (again, people like Cyclops do all sorts of crazy things without being invulnerable)

Thor: Hmmm ....take away Mjolnir, although recently Thor is written as still having most of his powers without his war hammer (it just helps him focus the energies). Although he would definitely feel bad without his hammer .....hopefully not too angry .....erm .......

Hercules: Could say strength, but why not torture him and say invulnerability. Let's see him try to punch a tank with normal human invulnerability .....even Zeus would hear his cries!

WonderWoman: Antoher Superman level character. The only thing i could say is her connection with Gaia. Taking away her lasso only means that you have a character with strength, speed, fighting prowess but no magic lasso. She'll still kill you just as easy. However, her contact with Gaia, broken, would break off a lot of mystical stuff. Sure, she will still kill you, but she will feel the loss.

Finally, the Martian Manhunter:

This guy should get a comic book company of his own .....he has so many powers that he should not even be considered a Superman-level character ....he is BEYOND that. It is just that many writers always forget his various abilities, or they make him cower before a simple flame.
Anyways, what do you take away from him.
The guy has ALL of Superman's powers, plus the powers of invisibility, intangibility, shape-shifting, size-shifting and mass-absorption, extreme-level telepathy, and immortality and high-level regeneration. Oh, and he is a genius.
If Superman is an X-men team in one person, then Martian Manhunter is an X-Men team on crack!
Take away ANY power and he will still be able to kill you just as easy, so the power to take away would have to be one that (even after he kills you) makes him feel very very very bad.
Simple choice then, I'd take away his telepathy.
Think of it ....imagine if you could scan the entire planet with a thought, commune with all life forms, even with exertion shift your conciousness to another planet .....and that is take away .....that would be worse than losing your eyesight or hearing!

Anyways, Martian Manhunter would definitely be the hard one to crack, because even without HALF his powers he would still be able to defeat most people put up against him.
