Key word there.. his own power. The ALE has been used by many people and is much like a powerup of sorts IMO.

And then went blow for a blow with a guy those characters were terrified of.

And not Thanos, the Next, or Superman, compares to Orion with the Anti Life Equation. Conquered reality pretty much just by thinking it.
