Cage tries to take on Wrecker and gets temporarily ko'ed via crowbar.

everyone else pawns there opponent and play paper rock scissors to see who takes out wrecker....

Cage wakes up just in time to watch and notice how unnecessary and non vital he was to the team.

Spiderman helps him get up and tells him not to feel bad since spiderman also was not much of a help when it comes to facing wrecker better to leave with heroes with the right tools and powers.

That's Bendis version, thus they get stomped.

They just had a great showing in "Hulk: Let the Battle Begin" where they fought Savage Hulk and did better then Thor did against him. Hulk didn't even KO most of the Crew he just hit or threw them away.

That's Classic Wrecking Crew, Defenders era. Current versions are lucky to beat a street level fight as shown in Bendis New Avengers.

they did about the same as thor imo

thor just had it bad because

1) hulk had attention only to him

2) thor was hit with mjolnir...which hurts more than just hulk's fists

what powers did bendis retconn?

you think if any of the crew faced hulk individually, they would've fared any better than thor? I doubt it.

They were energy absorbers (all of them) if someone threw energy at them they would absorb it and become stronger themselves. He also retconned their durability where punches from around peak human character can cause members of the Crew to spit out blood.

Wrecker has one-shotted Hulk before

He didn't, it was one of the Crew's first apperances and had no power-up what's so ever.

ok, well I guess hulk was less durable back then.

I mean today, even sentry wouldn't be able to oneshot hulk...his durabiltiy and hf make that virtually impossible.
