Any ideas? Black goo space film

I only watched the beginning but I think it was a space film. I remember someone going into a vent and I think killed or was eating breakfast the following morning at table but wasn't himself.
Remember it was some kind of black liquid and there was a sex scene in the shower also.
I watched it in the 80s early 90s if not
