the younger heroes have bn brained washed by Darkseid and let lose to face Superman...
darkseid hoping that they can kill superman or superman kill them, keeping the next generation/future heroes from posing a threat to him or they killing superman here and now and getting rid of his annoyance...
Superman coming to visit Connor at the teen titan's tower is surprised to be attacked by connor and soon joined by WG and UB... Superman thinking they are just having a tantrum for some slight doesnt take it to serious at the start of the fight.
