With prep id go for iron monger if allowed his access to stark he could probly make something to counter thing like a sonic jackhammer or some crap , hell its a weapons factory. But thing with prep just does as he does punch hard. Id give it to iron monger. I think the monger suit has the power to push him back and he can take him up and drop him. No prep ironmonger has tad less offensive potential but his basic weapons and suit strenght should again trump the thing. Thing only has the first 5 to 10 sec to surprise him and deal a critical blow which doesn't seem likely.
My vote is Iron Monger.
