Kevin is being transferred to a new school due to his misbehavior and unable to cope with the death of his father. His parents have placed him at Xavier's School for gifted children.
on his 1st day of school during lunch on the lawn he recognizes Apocalypse from t.v. news even though he looks smaller and younger but, he attributes it to his shapeshifting abilities.
he smacks his cane and transforms into his Thunderstriker persona as he calls out Apocalypse.
