Ares should win this fight every time. He's much stronger and tougher than Blade, and is fast enough to keep up. Blade's only typical advantage of an adamantium sword is negated by giving Ares an adamantium axe of his own to counter.

Ares' axe is not made out of adamantium. It's adamantine.
Not that it matters; those metals should be equally indestructible.
