They do when it suits them. Batman's plot armor is undefeated.

It's the General's fight to lose. thumb up

Oh, hi, welcome to KMC - as this is your first time around comics, take a moment to familiarise yourself with some concepts.

thumb up Grievious wins this, especially with Tartakovsky feats. Then it becomes a horrific stomp.

Obiwan did. stick out tongue

I wish disney would launch a show about General Grievous, since we already got Asaaj and Dooku shows. That would be fun to watch.

Bruce lacks the true combat precog of a seasoned Jedi, and also lacks the advanced lightsaber training of a high-level Jedi Master. Picking up a lightsaber and using it effectively ain't as easy as picking up a rapier and fighting Ra's... But even if it were, Grievous still wins. thumb up

Also worth mentioning that Kenobi was regarded as the master(not 'a' master, 'THE' master, per Mace himself) of Form III/Soresu, which gave him a nigh-impenetrable defense -- his absolute mastery of said form is actually why Kenobi was selected to confront GG in the first place.

Unironically, this is exactly what I'd like to see as well. GG's backstory is criminally underexplored in canon, but has SO much potential. It's actually a pretty tragic story, tbh.

Thus far, the best iteration of Grievous we've seen in canon(as far as characterization goes) was during the Son of Dathomir series:

Now that was peak Grievous, imo. thumb up

LOVE seeing SW threads over here! big grin

Anyways General Grievous stomps with Legends feats in play. Canon only feats would make it closer since Filoni intentionally watered him down for Disney.

didn't even realize there was much of a difference between them lol. how much of a difference does "canon only" grievous make here?

Juntai has convinced me with his analysis.

Does anyone here seriously think Grievous could learn, let alone attempt, the masterclass that is Bam Pow???

Big difference.

Legends Grievous was a legitimate threat to any Jedi in single combat -- even guys like Mace essentially had to use the Force in order to temporarily beat him.

Canon Grievous, however, was clowned by Kit Fisto and is solidly below most of the legit/named Jedi. Also, the RotS novelization is technically non-canon, so the 20 strikes/second thing goes away as well.

GG is one of the very few characters who were intentionally gimped by current canon at the onset(like Eli said), and unfortunately he has yet to fully recover. He is still really strong/durable/fast/etc. thanks to his cybernetics, but just not to the same extent as his Legends counterpart.

You know? Using *just* canon Grievous, I'd actually give it to Batman....even more so if we just use what we saw on screen (i.e. his best feat is windmilling his arms lol).

I still think canon Grievous wins under these stips, but it's MUCH closer.

If you used movie-only feats(ie. no TCW or comics), then GG's just absolutely pathetic. thumb up
