But Neo is the One, as only the One can enter through the door to the Architects room, as the Oracle tells us, the Merovingian etc. etc. etc.
So he is The One, he just didn’t do what he was supposed to. He’ll still, in M3, have his abilities in the Virtual World, but Trinity needs to get his digital self Out of the Matrix first. We can see what his role will be in the trailer. To stop the Smith virus.

I still think he is gonna paly a huge role in the ending im quite scepticle of the idea that the end of the first matrix where it says 'system crash' and neo speaks in the phone is set at the end of revolutions

The end of M1 takes place somewhere IN the timespan between the end of M1 and the beginning of M2. Reloaded takes place at the end of 1999, when it is time for the Matrix to be reset.

hey hey about the "system crash"thing. if you notice when it says "system crash"its not the matrix being shown it is numbers only, which is a trace program. they were trying to trace his position and he shut it down. the matrix code is a bunch of numbers and sighns and the trace program is only numbers(See the beggining of M1) he didnt crash the entire matrix, only the trace.

Yes but this could be attributed to the "cataclysmic system crash" - Everything isn't going to crash at once. It will slowly deteriorate program by program.

I agree, the inside of computers is like a bunch of dominos setup to fall.. depending on where the first one is knocked over depends how much is left behind and how much will be taken away.

wait, omega, that theory almost makes sense like all the y2k paranoia a few years back. everyone was afraid all computer systems would reset as 99 changed to 00. but if the matrix would reset everyone connected to it would die. remember, "the body cannot live without the mind", morpheus said that, so you must assume the opposite to be true as well. we'll find out in november anyway, CAN'T #@@#$'N WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
