jack elam quote
In a western with major stars, Jack Elam, as usual plays a minor role.
He is captured by indians and is going to be tortured to death, but is allowed to say a few final words to his son. The final words of these final words are:
"Don't line, don't cheat, don't quit"
The son and the major characters then leave Elam to his slow, painful death. When they are far enough awayto b e safe, one of the major characters disposes of Elam with a rifle shot.
