Not really. Atrocitus fights mostly on a physical level and that's what he's most known for actually. Especially considering the fact that Atrocitus didn't even know how to create constructs in BN, it wasn't until War of the Green Lanterns arc that he learned how to create constructs with his ring.
carver doesnt read DC comics or comics in general so he wouldnt know Atrocitus' fighting style. If the guy wasnt using blood magic or throwing up corrosive blood he was going h2h
It's due to Clark, Diana, Mongul, Orion and all other bricks treating Lanterns constructs like fodder and physically overwhelming them. High tier bricks treat Lanterns like crap. Diana recently took on a gang of Lanterns and was working them.
