here it's not that bad yet, though it is being more and more "common"
kids of what? 12 ? thinking that they are already so mature they can do and say everything they want... as previously said, the clothing and all, smoking cause it's oh so cool... having the latest mobile phone to show off...
I take that it's just a foolish phase, that as soon as they actually have to do something for school or life in general, they'll get that they can't keep it up
Okay that is really disturbing. I'm 14 and never dress like that, right now I'm wearing jeans and an orange T-shirt with a white long-sleeve shirt underneath but visable where the orange short-sleeves end. But sometimes I wear sing-lit tops, I can't resist. Some kids are growing up WAY to fasy, these kids in my class are 14 and they've lost thier virginity. Also one of the girls lost it to a 17 year old, thats a three year age difference, what sick guy would do it with a girl that young. But then again my friends dad whos 56 does it with 18 year old girls, now that's sick!

Several weeks ago I was laying out in the sun catching a few rays and these 2 girls came out to catch some rays. They were both wearing skimpy bikini tops and thongs. Very little left to the imagination. They hit me up for cigarettes and pretty much starting 'acting' very 'grown up.' I asked them how old they were. They looked at me like I'd lost my mind. They were 13! 13? Where are the freakin' parents? It all comes back to the parents as it should. Kids NEED to be taught AT LEAST the very basics of common sense.
but that's just the human race changing, not kids growing up too fast... They also used to castrate boys who had nice singing voices so they would stay tenors...
I'm in agreement. I wore a uniform in grades 1-4 and then again in grade 10-12. And never did I feel more out of place than in grades 5-8. Mainly because my parents didnt have alot of money so we couldnt wear the "cool" clothes. When I rolled around to high school it was SO much better. Everyone looked the same. Only competition was shoes!
I was privelaged enough to have to wear a uniform. Same grey slacks, either a green or white polo, a white oxford, or a green fleece for the shirt, oxford (casual) dress shoes. A lot of people complained about the uniform, but I didnt mind it all that much. Less of a hassle in the morning trying to pick out what to wear. Plus, seeing girls in kilts was the shiz-nit!
But, if I may get serious here for a second...
It is nice that these 10-12 year old girls have cell phones. It is always nice to know that you can contact you child anywhere (so long as it is on, and has signal) and they you. But when I was 18, I had a cerfew of midnight. These kids have it too easy.
PARENTS, DO NOT BE AFRAID OF YOUR CHILD! I never had a 'time out' when I got in trouble. I got spanked! You think it is all the media? No! Show anything you want... but these kids dont have jobs! They need to get this clothing somehow. They need to get out of the house in it. PAY ATTENTION to them.
Gender: Female Location: lazing around and drinking lemonade
You know those pants/shorts that some girls wear, that tend to have things like "CHEERLEADER" or "ANGEL" or something like that written across the ass? I saw a little girl - I swear she was FOUR - wearing shorts like that that said "SURFER GIRL." And I thought it was bad when ten-year-olds wore these kinds of things... what parent in their right minds would buy something like that for their four-year-old?!
I think what's partly to blame is that you just can't find normal clothes anymore. It's all these skin-tight t-shirts and skirts that I would classify as belts and shorts with an inseam of -1, and you can't find a pair of jeans with a zipper bigger than 3 inches. And I'm seeing clothes like this in the little kids' section, too.
I predict that within five years, the earth's population will wear nothing but bikinis, if they wear anything at all.
As for the parents/media thing... my wrists hurt, so I'll just say that you all said it better than I could have.
So far all we have done is target the female population of Pre-Teens. What about the guys?
I was supervising a dance at a local youth centre and when I was leaving, one of my friends was walking to his car with a few others. I stopped to talk to him, and he was telling me about how one of the people that was at the dance was trying to pick a fight with him. I laughed, considering the typical age group at the dance was 11 and he was 19. When we were talking, we heard "there is that fu**ing fa**ot that is scared to fight me!"
It was this little spanish 'gangta' kid wearing clothes that were too big for me! Incredible what these little punks think they can get away with now-a-days.
Oh don't even get me started on the little punks running around.
Granted I'm not much older, but for christ's sake buy a friggin belt you little hoodlum. Acting all tough and wearing pants below your knees is not what I find attractive.
