The only one bad aspect of his death is that now we can expect great chaos in Palestina. Killing people in not so good way to fight for independence. But I think his priority was money
The guy was a terrorist himself and directly contributed to and controlled Hamas and every Palistinian terror group in the region... come on.... everytime he said stop blowing peeps they did so because the guys a billionaire funding them. The PLO is just going to do the same thing they always have but this time they take all his money and directly control the aspects of operations.
I think that the western media is far too biased on the side of Isreal. When isreal was created, they illegally forced millions of palestineans out of their homes, and took over their land. By all rights, isreal should still belong to the palestineans. I can understand how the UN would have felt sorry for the jews after WW2, but it's no excuse for kicking even more people out of their homes.
I humbly agree with GP... the wtf smiley is perfectly placed here
I would recommend RaventheOnly reads eleveninches's last post and then takes some good history books to discover the truth
John Howard, the Prime Minister I didn't vote for, seems to agree with the media. While Arafat was lying in a coma close to death he had the disrespect to come out and say how terrible Arafat would seem in the history books. Of course Little Johny is far from innocent, but really, it seemed wrong.

Dangerous logic there eleven. If we are looking at populations that have been wronged and ousted from their homeland you'd have to look at the Nations of the Native Americans first.
The middle east is a mess not because the Jews moved into Isreal. It's a mess because over they last 100 years everybody has been mucking around there and now it's catching up to us all. So many people are to blame that it would be a waste of time to play the Blame game now.

You forget that ORIGINALLY the Jews had claim to the land after the Arabs conquered it and ran them out. The Isrealis returned in numbers basically and ran them back out. The UN didn't feel sorry for them, it was the Soviets versus the rest and the Arabs joined the Commies so we gave the isrealis favor.
Hello.... we was sided with the Soviets against us for what? 50 years....!!!!! and he funded and controlled terror orginazations and has been the center of the resistance to peace between the Arabs and Isrealis. You don't realize how bad this guy was.
What do you think the first thing they said when Stalin and Hitler died... when Mao.... do you cry for the terrorists holding the detonator blasting a school bus apart?
It was the Jewish revolt against the Romans that caused the mass expulsion of Jews by the Romans.
Come back once you've read your history, and once you've figured out that Israel is an unwanted occupier, who wants to rule a people who do not want to be ruled by them. Oh, and stop watching Fox News

Back in October the Israli Parliament voted to withdraw Jewish settlers from the Gaza strip and the West Bank areas claim by Palestine. It seems that the Isralies are showing signs to stop the conflict. I feared that Arafat death might bring chaos and confusion to the Palestinian politics and most likely it will happen. Hopefully there won't be any more suicide attacks and the process doesn't get affected by anymore violence.
I was glad when Arafat condemn all the suicide attacks when he was alive the man did show that he wanted peace in the conflict. Whoever gets the job as a the new leader of Palestine hopefully will keep the peace process going.
I disagree, there are many bad aspects of his death, not least of all there is now a vast number of people without their leader.
A wife without her husband etc etc
Tony Blair has flown out to meet mr Bush, Blair is suggesting they try to put alot of effort into this peace treaty.
