please explain to me how family guy comes back for its third season this fall and it's third season dvd collection is out before it even finishes airing on tv, and now the fourth season is out, am i missing something?

Family Guy came back for it's fourth season. There had been three seasons done before it was cancelled.

now everything seems very much clear thanks. I was just so sure for some reason they had two season and then just went away, althought i hadn't even known about family guy in the beginning until it came back. But somehow it got to me that it was just two seasons, but anyway, was the fourth season complete on tv before it came out on dvd? If so, that was fast getting the fourth season dvd collection out.
