Than this must have been a typo.

And Ellis wasn't a better shooter. Reggie is one of the best pure shooters of alltime, very few can match his shooting ability.

reggie? one of the best of all time? hardly. i'd say maybe top 20.

Wow, either you have watched any Indiana Pacers game in the last 20 years, or you you don't know much about NBA basketball. At the very least he is top 5.

Wow, how ignorant are you?

Plus, just a little while ago you said "i thought about kerr and reggie, but i still think dale ellis was better."

He was one of the first that came to your mind and now you drop him to just top 20? That just doesn't make any sense.

that was a typo, i meant 10. dont get your panties in a knot.
when i think about this, i think "who would i want on my team if i needed a big 3?"
i think dale ellis. you guys think reggie, thats all well and good.

nah, i grew up on the NBA. i played basketball religiously til i started spraining my ankles. reggie miller is good, just not my personal choice as the best.
he tended to rely too much on his 3 point shooting.

Isn't this the best 3 point shooter of all time thread(and specifically clutch shooting)? Shooting(from anywhere not just 3s), clutch, and 3s all spell Reggie Miller.

I'd still take Bird however. But, by no means would I be disappointed with Reg.

see? personal faves. bird, ellis, miller, all good choices. i didnt select bird because he was so dominant.

read the post i made after that, titan fan.

Even if the "20" part was a typo, most people will still find that to be a ridiculous statement.

what, the top 10? its hard to believe that reggie miller is in the top 10?

He should be in the top 5 or 3.

my top 10, not in any order:
1. dale ellis
2. larry bird
3. reggie miller
4. john paxton
5. robert horry
6. craig hodges
7. dan majerle
8. drazen petrovic
9. vernon maxwell
10. detlef schrempf

I'm not a Titan fan, star wars fan.

Plus Reggie Miller is top 3 at the least. And you said he is "good but relies on 3 point shooting too much". Well this thread is about the best 3 point shooter, so it doesnt matter at all about any other part of his game.

I still say Reggie.

ok...if a player uses his 3's too much, he will be defended closer. if he mixes it up, he will have a defender that backs off a bit, anticipating the drive. reggie miller was never much of a drive to the basket player, as, say, larry bird was. it makes you a better 3 point shooter if your defender doesnt know what to expect.

Comparing Bird's game to Miller's game is like comparing apples and oranges. There style of play was completely different from one another. Reggie Miller could drive to the whole when he had to, but he was arguabley the greatest shooter ever, and it you're the greatest shooter ever, you don't need to drive to the whole, instead, you runoff screens, or create your own shots one on one. Miller had to shoot more 3s than Bird because his teams weren't as talented as Birds, and alot ot times, he would have to sink some 3s to have his team comeback, which he did, which in turn, makes him arguabley the best 3 point shooter of alltime.
