Oh such a tragic event I agree, 2,500 odd people died. The previous year 6,000 died in an earthquake in Turkey, it hardly made the news apart from the first day or two. One example of how the press is steered to make people remember what THEY want.

An earthquake is a natural disaster. 9/11 was an attack against a great nation.

What does it matter how the people died, every year loads of people die for various reasons around the world.

Just because it had to happen to this "great nation" it doesn't make any difference or are people in the US more valuable as others (Note I wrote "people" not US citizens as people from other nations died in the strategy).

Its the fact that such a disaster was intended by some bad people in the Middle East. They are the ones that really killed the people in the towers and planes. It was an act or aggression, man v.s man.

The United States is a great country IMO, I live here, I have a good job, the education here is great and I am pretty happy. Its a free country mate. We have the greatest Armed Forces and many allies, I feel safe here, and our technology is far superior to most other nations. (We pretty much own the Internet)

Sure some aspects of our government may not be perfect, but I don't think such a diverse and huge nation could have a perfect government, in fact, I don't think a "perfect" government could even exist.

When a group of radical morons attack two towers full of people, thats a huge issue, and we go to the source of the problem and fight it there, so we don't have to deal with it here. And we don't like people that try to get any humor from it or disrespect it in any way. I don't joke or talk bad about the train attack the UK had, which killed a few hundred people I believe.

Natural disasters happen, they are a fact of life, all we can do about it is help victims etc, 9/11 was a terrorist attack, humans killed all of the people that day (over 2000) nature didn't kill them.
