The reason Guy beat up Cody at the end of Final Fight was because Cody was distracted and like Emperor Ashtar said, he ignored Jessica. IMO, they both are equally the best. They fought each other in SFA3 and it was a draw. Who ever one can beat, the other can beat too. Guy maybe faster than Cody, but that doesn't mean he'll give in to him so easily, not even to Vega and Guy won't give in to Cody easily either. Cody has both power and speed and Guy has power too, but his true power comes from his deadly combos. Cody loves to fight so much that I don't see how he'll give up against Vega. Vega is in trouble if he loses his cool over his face being messed up which will leave Cody and Guy finding out his weakness.
Not only that, but Cody is also very good at street fighting too where he has some tricks up his sleeves that can come in handy. Vega has to deal with two fighters that are equal to each other, but have a different strategy of the way how they fight too.
I agree. I haven't seen him do anything on Vega or Guy's level.
That's more of a leg strength feat. I already said he can cover more ground faster. I'm not trying to say he's not fast. I just don't think he's going to outquick Guy. Didn't Cammy beat him up eventually? I can see Guy or Maki keeping up w/Cammy too.

I said Rolento could very well be as fast as Vega. both are pretty agile. Rolento flies around with almost every move. hops off corners, flips, rolls etc. he seems to cover more ground too. THAT is as far as in game goes and which is the only way we will ever get to compare them. Vega seems slower to me than Rolento in SFA3 which is the only place we can compare them. and you're misisng the point. its not ABC logic as much as it is saying "hey if he can hang with someone faster/as fast with more weaponry then why is hanging with Vega?".
also, if someone can dodge bullets (from a machine gun/semi automatic) then fighting a guy with a claw isn't too much of a big deal. Key word "too much". its not like its impossible to fight Vega in a cage.
i also mentioned that cody is really good with bladed weapons and knife fighting.
and how is Cammy the fastest Street Fighter? I doubt she's faster than Rolento or even Guy.
no...you're just making it look like that the whole tide just turns because Vega has a claw and the cage. for some reason i get this feeling that Cody will just stand there and act like hunk of meat for Vega to shred.
the way i see it, he's pretty aware with guys with weapons, has even taken down people with guns, and is a formidable fighter himself...not to mention has beaten someone arguably faster with more weaponry. so Cody can take out Vega himself....and that's my opinion because seeing his record it really doesn't sound like he's doomed nor does his victory seem impossible.

Guy more or less attacked cody when he didn't see it coming. they were just walking and he started attacking cody without warning. at that time cody was already pondering over things so it literally caught him by surprise. cheap shots is the most in-thing with sf characters. not to mention in SFA3 (cody ending) it is cody who helps Guy out.

Hm, not saying rolento is not fast at all, but rolling on the floor and bouncing of walls isn't the same as: Back Flipping, Propeling yourself horizontally, and flying from wall to wall in one move. The later applies to Vega since he can do all those agility feats. Not to mention he can keep up with cammy who's speed is without question superior to rolento. Vega can Fly from one end of the screen and back in less than a second, No other than him can do that except cammy. So,how is rolento just as fast to you sado?
My bad then, But there isn't anyone as fast as Vega in the Street Fighter universe and Weaponry is irrelevant if it doesn't even help you in fights.
Belger uses a cross bow not a Machine Gun. I know Eddi.E had a gun and Cody fought him.

Vega with his his claw is similar to cody with a knife. He's great with it and weilds it like a master. Cody has never fought anyone the likes of vega.

When Guy can fly from one end of the screen to another then and only then will he be able to compare. And, remeber what you said about vega's leg power, well leg power is needed when it comes to speed and agility.

I'm talking about speed, dude, jumping. when was the last time vega covered as much ground with dash as Guy. many guys moves are rush attacks and one of his powers is litereally has him dash back and forth.

wall to wall, yes Rolento has those moves. litereally jumping from one end of the screen to pretty close to the other.
one of his specials has his him flip around.
and on more than one occassion does he roll across the screen, hop on the wall and fly off in another direction.

actual street fighting would be what Cody does...if you really wnat to get into it, then play Dej Jam. but let me assure you that the crap you see in SF isn't even close to street fighting. the game is crawling with dojo dorks.
