Why did Steven not do the last two batman movies?

I guess that this steven from the title is tim burton. Well, guessing it, mr parker has said it very well. Burton movies were bad, shumacher movies were bad. They were bad movies and bad adaptations. Batman begins was the first movie about batman and take it in the correct way. It was great, with a good script, good performances, more faithful to the comics and a great movie in every sense. To talk about the burton and schumacher movies is only a waste of time.

Tim Burton does make some good movies once in a while.He needs to do his own stuff because when he does his own work instead of classic proven material,thats when he does his best work.

so did planet of the apes,mars attacks and corpses bride. like that poster mentioned.and Batman was no exception.

I thougth Big Fish was boring myself but I agree that
Edward Scissorhands and
Nightmare Before Christmas were awesome movies.
those are two good movies of Burtons oh and ED WOOD was good as well.so yeah Burton HAS made some good movies before,but Batman isnt one of them.

Not respecting opinions again, Parker? But Tim Burton and myself are the only peopel qualified to direct a Batman film, in my opinion. Begins was, ok, Forever was ok, Batman & Robin gave me cancer, Batman was awesome! and Batman Returns is prolly the best movie ever made!!

The problem with you guys is that you are not being balanced. Tim Burtons films and Batman begins were all good films.

In my opinion Batman Begins is the best because it is more like the comic book character. If you say Batman Begins sux its like you havent picked up a Batman comic.

At the sametime Tim Burtons movies dont suck either sure he made some changes but they were in my opinion were not that big. Baiscally he recreated his own version of Batman which was not far removed from the comic character.

Saying Tim burtons movie suck because the batmobile had guns on it is just silly, but saying Batman begins suck is just plain ignorant.

You can't just list his shit movies, you have to also mention his good things:

Pee Wee's Big Adventure (he took a shitty character and made a fun movie out of it)
Beetlejuice (ace)
Edward Scissorhands
Ed Wood
Sleepy Hollow (ok but still didn't suck)

Also, considering the era of movies, Batman and Returns were great.

Tim Burton's two Batman movies were great. Keaton made a decent Batman. He left because he felt that the villains had much more screen time then he did. When Schumacher and Kilmer came along and did Batman 4ever, that was a good film too. However Schumacher and George Clooney effectively killed the Batman franchise with that horrible Batman & Robin. Now that Chris Nolan has brought back Batman, the franchise is in very capable hands. TDK I can't wait.

Dude it was killed from the very beginning when Burton came along as someone else already mentioned.The Burton batman movies are crap.Keaton was one of the worst casting choices in comicbook history not even coming close to fitting the role of bruce wayne.if you dont even come close to fitting the role,you bring no credibility to the movie and keaton was no exception.thank god for Nolan and his casting choice of Bale.someone who DOES fit the part.

Keaton sucked because he didnt even come close to fitting the part and he did nothing original with his role.He just copied chris reeves great performance as superman by being macho as batman and a goofy dork as bruce wayne.Bruce wayne doesnt act like a dork around women. 😠 Burton sucks because he did not care about making the best casting choice possible.He deliberatley pissed on batman fans casting keaton only because he felt comforatable working with him. 😠 Thank god for Nolan and his perfect casting choice of Bale to bring true batman fans the one and only true batman movie. 💃

eh, you may be right. I've never been impressed by his work. Though, I haven't seen much of it.

Tim Burton isprobably the best dirrector ever. Nolan is ok. Keaton is a great actor Bale is a great actor. But Balejust couldnt convinceme he was Batman, and Keaton didnt actliek a dorkat alliunno where your geting thisfrom. he just gave hismoney awya cause he has too much, liek Bale did. you were just tldit was lousy, or you just thougth thta an dndnver gaverit a chance.
