The impressive genjutsu gas only been seen once and isn't enhanced by the fact that it ccan only be connected by the same kekke genkai, I.E. Tsukiyomi can only be fought with another Sharingan.
it wasnt just a genjutsu, and it was sumthing only the frogs cud do and it was followed by the summoning and impaling of monstrous swords through the bodies by jiraya, and they all got up, undamaged. and what is tsukiymi going to do to an immortal, on top of that, how is itachi going to tsukiyomi all 6 of them?

Well for the fact that pain knows itachi and not to look into his eyes. Therefore i highly doubt all 6 or seven of his bodies will look into his eyes. Amaterasu can be avoided considering there are multiple pains and the energy missles or whatever that he was using should be able to put down itachi.
