Well personally I think that squirrel girl would be able dodge the bat-kick with her squirrel-like agility and speed and then counter punch batman with her squirrel-like strenght and knock him out cold.

Is there indisputable proof of Marvel not recognizing that as canon?

And besides, it doesn't matter what I think. Thanos got beat by Squirrel Girl unless it was specifically mentioned otherwise. Not hinted at or alluded to, but stated. Even then, it might just be Thanos trying to save face.
