Though only the term "universe" was mentioned. We know that Death of the endless functions on a bigger scale, we've seen her job extending to another multiverse even (lucifer's) -- which was shown prior to this showing. And considering that Lex halted Death's role as a whole, an argument could be made that his power was much larger in scope than what was stated.
