I don't know why some of you are going on about being right and winning. Rob and Impediment were in on this gag because I PMed them. Silent and Rao PMed me and figured I changed the post. I highly doubt anybody thought Quan made the post, but simply played along just for the lulz.
I think the best Doom could do is stalemate Groot. Does Doom have his sword? Is it just H2H? Is the entire ACME warehouse up for grabs in terms of weapons?
Eddie Valiant eventually got the better of Doom through usage of the environment, ACME gear, etc. Groot would near-instantly kill Doom if
A) he sees him as a threat.
B) Doom wasn't a toon.
Doom has nowhere near the combat prowess or capability that Groot has.
That's why I voted and chimed in with either Groot winning or it's a stalemate.
So doom might eventually be able to squeak out a win. He couldn't kill Eddie despite being able to use his toonforce abilities, but granted he was toying with him.
Again, what if Groot impales Doom and gives him the Hulk to Loki ragdoll treatment? Or grows a limb large enough to crush Doom for a timed-out KO?
Well, that certainly is a likely option. If Groot can't overcome toon durability (like ripping Doom into pieces or something), then stalemate or an eventual dismemberment are the best Groot can manage.

oh I wasn't arguing that doom could or couldn't be knocked out, just correcting that toons can't simply shake off all physical trauma. Some get ko'd by a frying pan and stuffed in a trunk.
Yeah doom recovered from it, but not on his own. He needed the o2 tank to reinflate himself. I saw nothing to show he could have done it sans the tank.
If he can't take groot out before he gets crushed, then the best doom can hope for is a stalemate as he'll be unable to reinflate himself on his own, and won't be able to mount any sort of offense.
