The problem is that you have MAGICAL hammers that can fly under their own power.

When did they fly under their own power?

No he didn't HAVE to.
The hammers can fly without being thrown.
The ONLY time the hammers show up without being thrown is when they’re teleported to Thor. That’s why he has to call them to send him
Hammers when HE needs them INSTEAD of summoning them from Asgard himself like he could with Mjolnir

READ the scan. It’s made clear that THOR fastened the ship to the hammer first, and he hasn’t in that first panel 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️

So what's the argument? That the hammers can't fly under their own power?

LMAO THE only thing that happened in that issue was he summoned a hammer to his hand. Having a hammer come to his hand isn’t the same as one flying on its own. HIS axe can fly to his hand but can’t fly on its own anywhere else

Yet in the scan immediately preceding yours in the OP, where YOU said that he was 'as if he was preparing to throw it':

We get a shot of him spinning it as if he is preparing to throw it. Read the comic 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
There is no chain. So your 'proof is a lie. Because there is obviously off panel stuff in between the two panels.
Next,in the very same storyline, Thor commands his hammers to fly (and even split up):

But wait, there's more proof lol that you are wrong. Let's assume that was a ....different, special hammer.
Here is Thor doing the EXACT same thing with his hammer, the one he uses to send the prison planet off:

Are you saying he THREW that hammer that was inside the black hole? That someone was in the black hole and throwing hammers? Lol.
Come back when you've read the comics.

Concession accepted. Embarrassing.

Here's Odin sending all the hammers straight at Thor - and Thor doing the same thing back (WITHOUT laying a hand on every single hammer and physically having to throw them lmao - especially since he breaks them all up first into pieces with his lightning):

LMAO this is hilarious. READ your own scan again. Thor isn’t sending any hammers back, Those are broken shards of hammers he just destroyed. They aren’t flying back under his command he’s destroying them and THE remains are going back like shrapnel. Try again

He can also summon his axe on its own except for that. Whatever enchantment he has that lets him call his weapons to his hands does pretty much just that as far as I can tell
