Fixing can be anything like getting a new key. Its not like the Key could be hacked or something, it's just heavy. The Key was grunting lifting the fortress key denoting it was very heavy.
Oh you two.
Also wasn't Superman( Who was exhausted at this point) tanked a shot from the key and had no visual damages? https://ibb.co/BKKNTPp https://ibb.co/z7g1Xds https://ibb.co/347djLh
I tending to the writer was using some golden era setting like Superman's physically stronger than normal humans due to Krypton's gravity
The comic never directly stated the key used some tech hacked Superman's key. Instead it depicted the key putting some efforts to lift Superman's key https://postimg.cc/BP6gt4s2
That could easily be a fight between the Punisher and Jigsaw*. Nothing about that indicates either them being superhuman. In fact, I'd argue it supports the opposite (From weapons to grappling guns etc.).
1) It's established continuity that the Key is human.
2) It's established continuity that Golden Kryptonite depowers Superman.
3) It's established continuity that the golden key is 500k tons.
The x-factor is how the Key was able to lift the golden key.
Adding an additional x-factor that was never implied (I.e. Superman is superhuman when depowered) seems very unnecessary and counter-intuitive to the plot of the story. Especially since the last page implies the Key did do some bullshit off-panel to the golden key.
1 Punisher or other street characters are not involved here. I never mentioned them
2 My point about the scans that Superman tanked key's blast is he is far more stronger than ordinary people who will surely die from a gun shot, who can't dodge a heat vision from Superman, who can't tank a nuclear explosion in their faces. I.E, When I said normal humans I was referreing to people like ourselves in common sense
3 The main point of my post is he was indicating stronger than our humans. And how strong he is? He beats a guy who lifted a key that weights millions of tons.
4 The comic never gives any more addtional context about how did the key lift Superman's key aside from the first page. And you do realize that the implication you mentioned also can be argued right? The topic asking who can repeat this SPECIFIC feat within this SPECIFIC story. You can say this feat performed by the key is PIS but since the topic was asking this specific showing in this story so we takes what this story says

I think it's because it's unclear as to what this damage is?
Like if my friend takes my car and scratches it up.....that doesn't mean the car's performance is affected, or that it's suddenly much lighter. I'd still have to get it fixed though.
Or if he takes my key from its secret hidey place, and I have to fix it i.e. put it back..
It's just inconclusive, and to add anything beyond what the text writes is just trying to serve our own purposes.
I mean, I could posit the theory that the Key in Rebirth has.....power over keys or some metaphysical powert hat enabled him to lift it, but that's neither here nor there.
If the Key was operating under normal comic book human stats, then they all could lift the Fortress key. This could also simply be a case of writers error. No biggie.
I've already written the whole issue off as a one-off story where the writer chose a villain because his name was Key in a story about a key and Superman having a security system less secure than The Ring
Either way, notsoSuperman knocking him out means jackshit
There's nothing prior to this that shows Key having the durability to take a punch from an angry, determined 8th grader let alone a fully grown man in Clark's shape.
Not knowing how he lifted the key is the problem. Keep the head canon to yourself
Lol, said from the guy who is constantly spreading his head canon.
Also in my original post I just pointed out there is no suggestion or indication that key was using some tech to help him lift Fortress' key. Only the first page showing he was lifting the fortress' key with some efforts which is exactly what happened on panel LAMO
