House of Wax re-make!

It starts tomorrow over here. Me and my best friend wanna see it. Tomorrow is my bday w00t

Saw it today, wasn't too bad. Some surprisingly good gore at some moments. Also a nice little strip tease from Paris Hilton which was quite hot.

Though, the best thing about the film was that it was preceeded by the Land of the Dead trailor, which was awesome to see on the big screen.

The movie was OKAY. It wasnt all it was made out to be..And yes Paris Hilton did have the best death. Overall...7/10 and it WASNT EVEN SCARY! I wanted something scary.....

Saw it, it sucked. I hated how everyone in the theatre pointed out the obvious stuff ALL the time... i heard like a million rumblings of people saying "$1.19 for gas!?" through the theatre and "Paris Hilton's dead" that came out of every corner in the theatre.

It was a dark, dreary, rainy afternoon, so I decided to take in "HOW". It was below average to be fair. I can assure you wax figures can emote a lot stronger than this latest installment of rag tag teen actors.

There wasn't anything for me to like about the movie, aside from some fairly decent kills and goreshots, namely Paris Hilton

Anycrap, really poor script, really typical, limp teen horror flick acting, predictable flow and villains, with an out place ending that reminded me of "The Gate". Toss in a couple of meaningless scenes to get Paris and Elisha shirtless, and a slew of TCM/Wrong Turn influences, and you have "House of Wax".

I think the set fire in Australia was God's way of saying this movie was destined for failure. Boy, was he ever right.

I wouldn't call it a failure, it made a good amount of money for it's first week, considering the type of movie it is.

Well, I didn't call the movie itself a failure. It'll do well thanks to its stars, namely Paris Hilton and Chad Michael Murray. The storyline comes second to all the superficial, starstruck kids that go to see it for them. The actual movie itself won't be making its profit, IMO.

According to IMDB.com, it's budget was around 30 million, it's already made almost half of that in its first weekend, I'm willing to bet it will make some profit.

i saw the movie last weekend. it wasn't nearly as bad as i thought it was going to be.
great gore in some scenes.
but alas, it could of been much more of a film

Just saw it about an hour ago. WOW! It was amazing! When i heard Paris Hilton was in it i thought it would be sh*t! But i think she was actually one of the highlights of the movie! Definately go see it!!! AMAZING!!!

This thread was started by me! Wow, I forgot all about it.

Since that post, I've seen it and it wasn't scary at all. It did keep me interested, and it did remind me of a lot of mainstream horror films. But, it was exciting to see Paris poled. Umm, wow it comes out on DVD TOMORROW. I'm getting it, along with 'LAND OF THE DEAD'. I'm glad I'm back . . .

P.S. I think we all made Paris being in the movie a huge deal, she did do a well job and she is just another celebrity. What makes her any different? Anyways . . .

DVD. I saw the re make by myself since my boyfriend was not allowed to watch it because he is Mormon. It was OK.
