Sooooooooooo much PIS in that comic AND that's sort of out of context.
Doom "SOMEHOW" breached Strange's mansion's defenses (Which it's been said that God himself couldn't), and he attacked Strange while Strange was in a trance. Basically blindsiding him while Strange was in a coma.
A horrible showing for Doom imo. Strange, OTOH has beaten Doom three times with ease. Hell, he totally schooled Doom, broke his shields and armor and stole Doom's treasure and Doom panicked and fled.
Not the way I remember it and I have them all. Doom hit him from behind while Strange was getting a massive psychic feedback from Warlock. Doom did this on purpose, he know he has no real chance.
If I'm wrong, it's ok, my memory is ****ed but I do know Doom attacked by suprise and with prep and from behind.
The three times Doom fought Strange without all those, he got spanked...as he should.

So Doom owned Strange and you showed one of Strange winning...big deal..
I could go into more showings of Dooms that would show he could punk Strange like he did in the scans....but well this isn't Doom Vs Strange thread so I'd rather not.
You didn't show jack shit. You showed Strange starting to recover from his defenseless state and then being pulled back into it. Then you showed Doom. Nothing more. You conveniently didn't show the rest.
If you read the Gauntlet story you'd see Strange stalemating the power of the IG as well as negating it's affect. You'd also see him take Thanos and surfer out at the same time. Soooooooo....
Fine heres the only other page that features either Doom or Strange in the time between the trance part and where Surfer wakes up to the ownage. (please log in to view the image)
This was the 13th or 14th page where Doom saw an energy signature and wanted to investigate.
Surfer was so weak he couldn't fly and Strange was in a coma So doom attacked....that's not a good Doom feat, man..ESPECIALLY since Doom had prep.
Surfer got blindsided and so did the very drained Strange. Again, Doom knows better than to take on Strange or even Surfer by himself without prep and suprise.

Was Surfer Awake? Yes. Was he too tired to talk to fly? Yes. Was his cosmic energy drained to nearly nothing? Yes.
Was Strange Blinsided? Yes. Was Strange super weak from being forced by the soul gem to enter the trance? Yes. Did Strange REFUSE to fight Doom by request of Warlock due to the circumstances and the fact Strange is vital to start the war against the IG and wasn't willing to risk being hurt? Yes.
Does Doom always have Bots? No. Did Doom prepare then? Yes. Was it PIS? Yes.
Well, seeing that Surfer was nearly dead, it's plausable. Hell, Strange has magical pre-cog sort of like Spiderman's and he was blindsided by Doom. It makes no damn sense.
Those robot shouldn't hold Strange more than a nanosecond before he teleports instantly away or transmutes them into paper (He's turned adamantium to paper before) or simply just stopped time and left. He didn't do anything like that before of PIS. The story needed to keep moving.
