Ah thought you'd played it. The puzzles aren't that bad (aside form being just really difficult), and most of the game you're just following the story. My favorite parts of the game have been relaxing in the bar and talking to the main character's buddies and other customers, getting drunk and sending text messages lol.

Yeah, not my thing. I might check out a lets play on it, but I'm not interested in middle-aged dudes talking in a pub.

Anybody here play the Yakuza games? I'm about to start playing Yakuza 4 (my first in the series) and it seems to be the Japanese version of Grand Theft Auto. Also apparently it is spiritual sequel to the Shenmue agmes, which some of ym favorite of all time.

I know that wakkawakkawakka, Final Answer and Nephthys have all played it so... how the hell did you get passed it? Puzzles is not my forte but I am feeling kind of stupid and slow at the moment and am incredibly frustrated...

I did it on Normal

And I did using my +4 Wisdom Buff 131

But yeah, just have to keep trying and use your noggin to figure stuffs out, that's more or less all you can really do for that game.

Though Neph is right, Atlus games are always hard.

This year - AC3 and Liberation, Guild Wars 2

Next year - I dunno, Watchdogs I guess?

I find it hard to get really hyped about a new IP with people working on it that I'm not familiar with, until it comes out and I get to see the reviews and fan reaction, so Watchdog isn't really on my radar right now.

I would probably be looking forward to Guild Wars 2 more if I could be sure that it isn't getting cancelled...

If we count any game that's had any kind of announcement, then it's MGS5 for sure.

How can you not be familiar with Ubisoft?

If we go by that, then Persona 5 is the big one. There aren't really that many that I'm interested in tbh.

Oh, Final Fantasy Versus looks ****ing amazing though. Like, holy shit, thats a Square Enix game?!

The actual people. Ubisoft is a pretty massive company with lots of individual teams so I like to have individuals that I can identify as the major designers behind the game. People like Hideo Kojima or Miyamoto.

Have you seen Brave yet, Lana? If so, is it good? It's gotten the worse reviews for a Pixar movie besides Car 2 (which means it's still better than average. ha)

I should be playing the Persona games pretty soon actually (I had to feeaking quit Catherine because it was too difficult lol), is it the kind of thing I need to play the first in the series first or can i jump straight into Persona 3/4, as I'm not sure I'd totally be on playing something pre-PS2 right now? Only reservations about it so far is the gameplay as I really hate turn based RPGs.

Yeah, I saw it yesterday. It's a very good movie - certainly not Pixar's best but that still means it's better than 95% of what's going to come out this year 😛 The main flaw I saw in it is that it's just too damn short. Everything felt very rushed once things got going. It was only a bit over an hour and a half long - they could have easily made it two hours and improved the pacing.

Still, I enjoyed it greatly. It was genuinely very funny (Merida's little brothers are hilarious), and I loved how everything involving archery was dead-accurate to real life. Between the Hunger Games and this, I really feel the need to get a new bow and start practicing again, as it's been years.

Each game is self-contained, meaning that no, you don't need to play the first games or in any kind of order. I played Persona 4 before I got to 3. The only thing I can say about those two and the order to play them in is that Persona 4 has some noticable but minor gameplay upgrades that can be frustrating when you find they aren't in 3. But its just things to do with the interface and the availability of savepoints.

What the **** happened to you Spoony?
