But it makes you cosey knowing you're voting and are part of 'democracy' and free world, while everyone else is oppressed and sad.

does this mean you don't vote?

I wish someone would come out with a "None of the Above" option on a ballot.

Sure, but I still like "none of the above" more.

And you might have very large issues with both party's, still there has to be something in one party that makes it worse then the other. Then vote for the other. If there really isn't, if you really can't think of anything then just vote for Nader.. It's better then not voting.

I never said I liked Nader's position on everything, just that I considered it because of my disgust with the central parties. That's the central point. There's too much about any party that I disagree with for me to vote for them. It's not choosing a lesser of 2-3 evils. It's more like picking my poison.

But apparently for certain people I'm not an American if I don't vote for President, even if I'm voting for every other position and issue. So I suppose you'll either be upset or say "well vote for {insert candidate} instead." Either reaction is fine...I'm sufficiently calloused to criticism that it doesn't really affect me.

As seen today in Kenya voting, although considered Democratic is a joke. If those in power can manipulate the votes then whats the point.

And its not only Africa, look at Russia, Ukraine and yep the USA. Who really believes that Bush won ahead of Al Gore in that masterpiece in corrupt electioneering?

And in most other countries like Britain, Germany France etc there is no option, all party's are basically the same, ok they waffle a load of "we´ll do this that and the other" but NOTHING changes, hasn´t anyone noticed this. They just "react" instead of "acting".

I have never voted and until some party comes along who is worth voting for I won´t vote. Of course this is unfortunate because the ruling party's benefit from people like me. There should be an option "No party worth voting for" and if that wins, new party's with new concrete ideas should have to be formed, and there should be a law which states the party's have to show something for their promises.

Look at company's and business´s, if they lied to their customers they would be bankcrupt in no time

And if you could do it any better then you should start your own party and convince people that you can do it better.

And there are huge differences between party's in some country's. Just come here once and read the political news that happens in an average month, if you can't see the difference after that then there is something seriously wrong with your eyes. Even so, you can always vote blank. Again if enough people do that the politicians will notice.

Thats the problem, I might be a genius who could solve the worlds problems, but without sufficient funding, creating a party is impossible.

In fact the funding, especially in the US is basically bribing for future favors after the party gets elected. No company parts with millions of dollars for nothing and anyone who believes so is naive.

And if my ideas were to inconvenience these company´s in some way, say because I wanted to save the world from destruction by cutting pollution. Forcing the sale of cars with new technological Hydro Cell engines, or at least limiting the size of cars engines. Then they wouldn´t want to back me would they, after all their "drug" oil on which the world depends sales would drop. This is just one wild example.

Then prove smarter then them. Get attention to your plans some other way. People have done it in the past, and it can happen again. Sure it might be hard but it's far from impossible.
