And Zabuza wasn't worth it. Neither Zabuza nor Orichimaru cared about their respective man slaves. Rather, they viewed them as tools. Zabuza was more then willing to sacrafice Haku to get the job done; so was Orichimaru. Only difference I see is that Zabuza cared after Haku died, whereas Orichimaru was too busy jizzing all over Kabuto's face and staining his glasses at the thought of having young ripe Sawsgay all to himself to care about Kimmimaro's death...
Caring about someone after a ninja smears them all over the floor of a bridge with a lightning attack isn't really all that great though, to be honest.

I think Zabuza's more of the kinda guy who cares but wants everybody to think he's evil and heartless. I think Haku saw that. It's why he devoted himself to him. You know besides the whole saving him from the streets and giving him a purpose. Orochimaru gets bored so he decides to destroy something not caring what happens. It's why I don't like him though it does make for the perfect villain.

That's a good point. Zabuza was a bit less of a bastard then Orichimaru was.Really though Zabuza doesn't even seem to be that bad of a guy. All he is is a mercenary who just does whatever it takes to get the job done and get paid. He doesn't run around starting shit like Orichimaru does.
