stephon marburys having his most productive year. knicks aint doing so bad.
seriously though... cant he buy his own contract out or something like that? i'm sure he could add something positive to a team... its obvious new york and marbury would be best to part ways. in his prime he wasnt a bad player.
One loss doesnt matter in the big scheme of things but i dont like the way we take our foot off the throat when we get big leads. That is the exact mentality that got us in trouble in game 4 of the finals. How many times do we need reminding?
Our defense hasnt been consistent for a while but we have been relying on a 5 minute burst of aggressive D to blow the game open in the 2nd half. That wont work against the good defensive teams that take care of the ball and if we cant force turnovers we have to challenge every shot and dominate the boards. Too often i see guys running out at shooters with their hands down, anyone that has been coached at even the most basic level knows that is a no-no (you dont have to block the shot, just contest).
Still one loss isnt the end of the world and it should wake us up and humble us, so its probably a good thing in the long run. I've always said you can learn more from losing than you can from winning.
One of the Lakers problems last night was shooting the ball way too early in the 4th quarter. If you are nursing a slim lead with only a few minutes left in the game, why are shooting the ball with 10-12 seconds left on the shot clock? They need to have better clock management from their players and stop taking shots that look tempting.

CD, I agree
No, I'm not saying Roy is equivalent to Clyde (besides, I don't think the weekly award started until the late 80s or early 90s after Drexler had several years behind him). But it does show that he is possibly the best Blazer since Clyde. I'd say that it is a toss up between him and Rasheed. Rasheed's had more strengths and weaknesses, while Roy remains more in the middle where his strenths aren't as strong as Rasheed's, but his weaknesses aren't as weak as Rasheed's.
