Most of the girls you're showing us look 14 at the most. If they are really in their 20s, all that make-up they're wearing makes them look like children (not to mention the pigtails on one of them), and that's just creepy.

The only same thing about this issue between Asians and westerners is the definition of pedophile which is scumbags who hunt underage childrens [ those under 17 ], or maybe on the west pedophile mean scumbags who hunt peoples who look under 17? In Asia there is nothing wrong in dating or marrying girls who look like 12 or even younger as long as their age are legal to marry which is over 17 years old, no one can restrict peoples who have over 17 years old to do things what only "adult" can do [ marry, driving license, etc ] even if they look below 17 years old.
About the Asian cosplayers I posted, nope make up is not what make them look young but Asians just born with youthful genetics, that is why Asians are known to look much younger below real age.

While the women/girls in the pictures are also beautiful it's to a large degree make-up, photoshop, and well taken photographs that make the pictures you posted very good.
Did western cosplayers ever realize they look nothing like the Anime characters?
Yaya Han doesn't look like half the characters she cosplays (eg, Catwoman, Jessica Rabbit, Powergirl). But who cares cuz she's got great fake boobs and most important, Attitude.
From what I've always understood cosplay is more about passion and dedication and fun than actually looking exactly like the character. People who are into it just seem to really enjoy making their costumes.
The biggest evidence any cosplayers are trying to imitate certain characters is that they claim as that characters, just look at the Cosplay websites I posted or go to random cosplayers facebook, instagram, etc account and you will always see them stating to be this or that characters.

Anime fans just don't want to see the uncute and look too old version of the Anime characters they love and respect.
There are 2 main reason why something is popular :
1. Because it is better, humans are born with the instinc to choose something better for them.
2. Just read the comments about that picture from many different websites where it is posted, you will be able to see that Cosplay is a fail Cosplay. It is very different from the comments you read on the Asian cosplayers pictures because Asian cosplayers are put in good Cosplay, awesome Cosplay, real Anime characters, etc topic while western cosplayers mostly put into fail Cosplay, bad Cosplay, worse Cosplay, etc topic.
The result will always be the same for any other Anime/Asian characters where almost all Anime fans only like Asian cosplayers because only Asians who look like the Anime characters they love and respect.
