I agree that prime could do it. I will never argue against that even though he never punched one to dust but I also think that he can do that.

well a different writers have wrote db specials about trunks, vegita, and piccilo to give more of a backround on eac hcharacter

in vegitas freeza is shown to destroy an entire planet with a blast from her index finger while in her base form.

if you check, it has exactly the same wounds, the scene when Freeza kill Bardock is also un the manga, TV specials are diferent than movies like Brolly for example, when Toriyama explain in the interview that events are like "in other dimension" alternate realities. Birth studio is no diferent than DC or Marvel.
