I actually dug her most when she was being all flirty with Cyclops. Kind of annoyed me when they redid that with Emma and that's who he ended up with. Should have been Betsy! But yeah, don't know if anyone posted pics already of those days, but maaaan could they draw her then!
Since this thread seems slow and almost ko'ed.. I wanted to add a lil somethin. Adam Hughes just posted this on Deviant art.. I must say it is AMAZING! Especially since it's my favorite version of her.
Psylocke, AKA Elizabeth Braddock, Noble of birth and title in Good ol England. She is a Mutant, sister of Brian Braddock, Captain Britain, has at times served that role herself. She Is once more since Jeans death fully restored to her previous Telepathic self, meaning She has the most powerful scan with telepathy of any hero in Marvel including Professor x who needed cerebro to reach to the other side of the world.
She became Telekinetic when she and Jean swapped powers she did not absorb that power,(as was stated earlier) that would denote power siphoning like rogue she does not have that ability.
She was taken and had her mind swapped to Kwannon's a Ninja Elite for the hand and its chief assasin. Kwannon was then in the original body, both adapted to the dna both had identical powers and prowess. Revance the original bodied Psylocke would later die from the legacy Virus, Leaving Psylocke as the Asian Bodied Telepathic and telekinetic Assasin trained by the hand.
Her Focus is such she has killed people with a psionic blast, her focus was greater than that of prof x but he is still considered the premier telepath of earth. She later has evolved to include empathic control, so she can create mental illusions still and still use mind control, she focuses her tk for swords and knives and can manipulate the emotions of others. Good thing she loves hand to hand combat.
She is an Omega classed Mutant, she does not hold back and even wolverine should respect her lethality.
Had she wanted to end Daredevil in the a vs x ot would have happened with but a thought, Matt would have been declared brain dead, she holds back a lot when confronting types with motives she discerns as a good person.
Yes according to cannon Jean before she died had truly opened up Betsy's telepathy the only draw on this is that her abilities are without equal as long as she uses only one and can focus. If she splits the focus in two areas ie telekinetic and telepathy then she loses the capacity at which they can operate.
In truth Betsy was always more powerful even before mojo world than even Prof x, he was just far more disciplined in the use of his power.
As telepaths go cannon would be
1. phoenix
2. Marvel Girl (potential)
3. Psylocke (again potential)
4. Professor X
5. The white queen
6. Rachel Summers
7. Stepford sisters (though combined they are massive)
8. Karma (limited to mind control)
Of the list only the Phoniex and Psylocke without the use of cerebro could scan the world to pinpoint a mind.
2.
Psylocke has created a feat I am sure in marvel is unheard of, that is by will force telekinesis into a tangible force with a physical property powerful enough to create objects that affect the physical world like a sword. And the sword holds an edge, and she can do this without a ring to boot unlike her dc compatriots.
The reasoning behind the decision to recruit Psylocke to the team is rather apparent, as her presence gives the new X-Force some much needed psionic firepower. "Obviously, Betsy's strengths for the team are that she's an omega level telepath and a stealthy ninja bad ass," Remender said. "Like her teammates, she's another character who's been tampered with; another good person who's had bad infused into her psyche. She's a person who has been shattered and then rebuilt. Every one of these characters has had the same thing happen to them. They've all been tampered with. They've all had somebody else come in and reprogram some part of their brain to be wild and maybe even villainous, and that's a common thread throughout the series."
