Thats not comparable at all. He has actually improved the use of his powers and is realizing his full potential. So much in fact that now he can easily replace every ATOM in his body, effectively recreating himself over and over and over again with ease.
Yes it's very comparable because he's doing something well outside of his displayed power range. I can control my OWN breathing quite well that doesn't mean I can stop someone elses heart.
You do realize right now that you are arguing that Bobby drake is a light speed matter and energy manipulator?
He is an omega level mutant with INFINATE potential, he can INFINATELY grow and now he has a NEW power set. DEAL with it. Are you going to argue that he used to be a snowman now he can turn into organic ice, that he is well outside his displayed power-range.
Icemans new power-range is regenerating every atom in his body in secons because he is REALIZING his POTENTIAL. It doesn't matter how you feel about it, the fact is that it is CANNON
Iceman can also stop the chemical reaction of heat hence the reason he can beat people like Johnny Storm and Sunfire. He can stop the chemical reaction from working. I'm sure you only think of Iceman as creating cold and making Ice, but you are wrong and I suggest you read up on him
Ugh look I'm trying to be nice cause I don't like picking on children but it seems you aren't getting it. I'm well aware of what Iceman's powers are and the fact of the matter is that you are trying to give him power that even with his powerset he isn't capable of.
Like I said earlier Omega level mutant doesn't mean much to a herald level character, just see what happened when Vulcan tangled with Black Bolt a character well below Herald level.
Regardless of the levels of personal growth he's shown he hasnt been shown to posses either great speed or range. Meaning even powered up he cant target or affect a FTL character.
His manipulation is limited to water which is made of hydrogen and oxygen . So if the battle were to be taken to space where there is a lack of either of those elements he is SOL
The most you can say for Bobby is that he has hypothetical defenses for attacks of Firelord that have actually been seen on panel and these are based purely on potential and a few panels from a future timeline but given the Fact that Firelord is a former HERALD of Galactus who has been imbued with his power and Iceman is only an Omega level mutant Bobby's even outdone when it comes to potential.
The only thing you have proven is that Drake can reform himself and possibly not die, but that was never in dispute. Again not dieing isn't winning, just like on here I might not ever be able to shut you up but you in no way can win this argument.
P.S. I just read Xmen 188-193 and at no point does he stop a detonated nuke. I'm starting to think you haven't even seen the feats you're claiming for Bobby.

I'd assume if he can control heat which is the byproduct of kinetic energy created by motion that Iceman would have some control over "therman energy". That still doesn't address the range scope or speed of his powers.
Outside of his voice there is nothing about Blakbolt that's Herald level even with energy manipulation he's not faster than sound, not class 100 and doesn't have planet buster durability. he's not even at superman levels who's well below herald level.
Yes I do want you to post the scan just so I can see it, or you can just tell me the issue number since I own every issue of both volumes of X-Men and have most of the one shots and limited series. That still doesn't prove anything however as I can post scans of Black Panther putting Silver Surfer in an Armbar. that doesn't mean he can do it.
Black Bolt is way over sound speed, he is class 100, as he has gone toe to toe with Hulk physically, his voice at full power is solar system busting.
Superman is equal to Silver Surfer, Superman is a high-herald.
Iceman stopped the chemical reaction's of Sunfire producing heat, effectively neutralizing his powers, with just a thought. Sunfire burns as hot as the surface of the sun.
