I mean that you explaning the PG rating seems obvious to me, but its not that simple with certain other people.........anyway quick change the sub so we can get back on track

As I think I have mentioned before...
...but apparently the censors used to think that they would react brather well. The original video releases of the trilogy in the mid-80's were given the (video only) certificate of U/c- which means Universal, but especially suited for children. A rating you would give to, say, a Teletubbies video (or in those days, Care Bears or Playschool).
I don't THINK they ever destroyed a planet or hacked off any limbs in the Care Bears, but I could be wrong...
The censors later realised their mistake and gave them films a more general U.

There should be two versions, one rater PG for all the kiddies, and one rated R for the original star wars fans. The "R" version would show Anakin slaughtering the Tuskin raders, *rest deleted for inappropriate subject matter*
