Quite interesting actually, in short that the steaming pillar we see in the Rogue One trailer is a bacta tank, and Supreme Leader Snoke is the one inside.

If Snoke is the one pulling the strings the entire time from the shadows...it makes perfect sense. Especially if the Snoke=Plagueis theory is right. Doubt it is, and I doubt this is a bacta tank with Snoke in it, but it's entirely plausible.
It's actually not plausible at all, given it requires Snoke being Plagueis and Palpatine somehow helping him live not killing him again, and has been debunked every time it's brought up. Fans are just delusional.
That's where the "pulling strings from the shadows" comes in. The entire time Plagueis/Snoke would be alive. Palpy never killed him, just told Anakin that he did.
I don't see how it can be fully debunked until we fully know who Snoke is.
Once again, I don't believe in this theory and think it's stupid as hell, but there is that possibility.
