Can someone explain Vaapad's 'superconducting loop' to me?
How does it work exactly? I know it takes the dark side energy and fuels you or whatever, but how does it do this? It's probably a noobish question but meh :/

Is it a branch of the force drain ability? Without the actual drain lmao

Sasukedc describes it best, but to bite Syndicate's bait, I believe there's two main things going on with the Palpatine fight. For one, Windu is drawing deep into his reserves, and in particular his inner darkness, thus breaking the restraints that Jedi normally uphold. Windu's mastery over Vaapad allows him to call upon, but not be consumed by, his own dark side. However, when combating someone like Palpatine, he's also embracing Palpatine's own darkness into him, thus establishing a loop of dark or dangerous emotions. In such a loop, the power Palpatine unleashes against Windu would logically then reflect back against him in the form of Windu's own blade. In a similar way, Windu's own darkness is also being moved into and out of Palpatine as well. Thus creates an infinite stalemate only broken by, apparently, extreme usage of the Force or exploiting a shatterpoint.

I just don't get it. Vaapad is only a lightsaber form with movesets like any other, but it has its own force power? You can't just channel darkside force power from a set of saber slashes :/
