My mistake. It was 3 TIE's. Still don't know the context but it looks like he's magnetized himself onto the surface of some sort of space station and we know he's capable of breathing in space.(please log in to view the image)

He's shown to be able to do so both in Legends and canon. Can't remember the exact source from Legends aside from the one we posted but in canon it's LotS.
