Who the hell made that list. They aren't even including international totals, because "Scream" made $173 Million worldwide.

It's also no surprise "Scary Movie" did better because it was screening on 1,400 more screens than "Scream", and teeny bopper toilet humor flicks always do better.

Jesus Christ on a stick....who made this list.

3. Hannibal $ 765.091.464 - a crime thriller movie, not horror...psychological, zombie, monster, slasher or otherwise.

4. Scary Movie $156.091.464 - a comedy...not only a comedy, a parody which a specific sub-genre of comedy.

8. The Rocky Horror Picture Show $139.876.417 - holy christ someone has been smoking crack. Not only is it a musical....it's a comedic musical.........that is a parody...a parody of a genre that's not even horror. It's a parody of the sci-fi genre of the 50s and 60s. The aliens who have come to earth are gay transvestites from the planet transexual in the galaxy of transylvania. We've got comedy, musical, parody of sci-fi.......um, where does horror come into play?

14. Scary Movie 3 $110.000.082 - see scary movie.

15. Interview With a Vampire ( the Vampire Chronicles) $105.264.608 - um.......a drama about the pains of a vampire being immortal. ooookaaaay.

I agree with what your saying evil dead, I wasnt gonna include scary , but it was a parody of horror films and had horror elements in it, and i wasnt going to include it for the reasons you gave, but i was trying to flesh out the list from the info i found,

With regard to the Rocky hOrror show, it scared me when i was a kid, it definelty has horror elements and scary moments, , it is a comedy but also a Sci Fi Horror Musical Comedy , also theres nothing to say a comedy cant be frightening aswell .

And id say again Hannibal has horrific subject matter and is about a serial killer cannibal, perhaps not strictly horror in the sense you understand it, but again has horror elements, i would say serial films can be classed as horror.

Interview with a Vampire is about a Vampire one of the most famous horror characters , again has some scary moments and horror themes and again may not be horror in the traditional sense, but could certainly be classed as such.

But like I said, just wanted to flesh out the list, and if i had more info i would have included other films that were more straightforward mainstream films, but I would probably still include Hannibal and Interview With a Vampire in the list

The horror comes into play in the title, which I'm guessing is the only thing the person looked at while creating the list.
