A long long ways into the future, far far away lived a boy named Joseph. All his friends called him Wickerman, though or just Wick, and Joseph was just fine with it. He lived happily on Korhal IV.
One day, he noticed that both his parents were crying. Little Wick asked why, but his mother only told him that he would find out.
The next day, Joseph woke up to find strange faces looking at him. They dragged him out of bed. He couldn't see his parents anywhere.

The man told Wick to call him Mr. Mengsk, and informed Joseph that he wouldn't be seeing his parents again. Wick was confused and sad, but he was determined to be strong. Mr. Mengsk told him that Wick would be trained to be the very best that the Terran Confederacy would offer, to be the protector of their cause. He told Wick that he was conscripted into the Ghost Academy because of a "gift" he had. That made little Wick's back a little straighter.
