Hmmm. I very much doubt Supes is stronger than current CM.

He has Billy's mind but he has the Wisdom of Solomon - so even though he's innocent and is totally shocked by any evil acts, he's got wisdom when it comes to making decisions.

Interesting. Solomon was wise because he was not innocent. One becomes wise through lose of innocence, ie, life experience.
An interesting juxtaposition of opposites. Kinda like getting fatter by shedding pounds.

I don't think he is anywhere close to innocent. No 16 year old who has seen all that he has is innocent anymore. His parents were killed, and he was forced to fight alongside their killer. He has fought with JSA against all kinds of enemies, and seen people die. Not to mention recent events in IC (Anyone saw him in Gotham Central? How come everybody who feature in that series turn cool?). He is good-hearted. Noble. But innocent? Not anymore.
I like Captain Marvel more then Superman anyway. If anyone wants to read good Captain Marvel comic, read Kingdom Come.
A question with multiple answers. Who do I like better? Who is a better hero for the public? Who has the better method for helping society? Does one of them have better goals in their approach?
The best way to examine these two side by side, would be reading the two super-sized Alex Ross graphic novels - Superman:Peace On Earth, and Shazam:Power Of Hope. Superman has the bigger agenda, in trying to steer worlds events for the benefit of mankind, but the question is always of him doing too much, and maybe holding humanity back. I believe it was Draco 69 who observed Superman may suffer from obsessive perfectionism. Captain Marvel has the smaller view - in personality, he's like Spider Man with Superman-like powers, with his charisma among common people, small children in particular. He's jovial, where Superman is a more serious straight arrow. Of course, he's still a kid in a grown-ups body; and his innocence is always tasked despite his gift of wisdom.
Alike yet different. I will say Captain Marvel because he has a more dynamic costume, and no significant weakness - though that gag over Billy's mouth in the past, preventing him from saying SHAZAM, shouldn't work. I think even a muffled whisper would be enough for magic.

Capt. Ripoff is a Superman clone and whoever picked Capt. Ripoff isn't very knowledgeable or completely ignorant to the fact the Superman is the better Superhero by 10 times.
Capt. Ripoff is a Mortal from earth. Superman is an immortal planetary and galactic Superhero. nuff said..
